The Season Launch Party hosted by Fleet Feet Sports Chico will be January 25th at 6:30PM. Fleet Feet will be providing drinks and pizza. There will also be door prizes from CTC and our awesome sponsors. All of your favorite tri club people will be there, including Michael Dailey, who will be our guest speaker for the evening. Prospective members and families are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Save the Date: The Spring General Meeting will be Saturday, March 3rd. Details will be posted as soon as they are finalized.

The Black Butte Triathlon is returning for 2018 and CTC will be putting it on. The race will be taking place on Saturday, September 15. We will need volunteers to help with all aspects of planning and for race day. Contact Shawn Hughes if you would like to help out.

The CTC Board of Directors will retain the same positions as last year. Please see the CTC website for a list of the Directors and their offices.

Training:

Runs:

The Saturday Beginner LSD is at 9:00 AM for the off-season. It is a slower paced beginner run going for up to 60 minutes. Meet at the 5-Mile Recreation Area near the bathrooms.

There is also a LSD run on Saturdays meeting at the 5 mile bathrooms at 8:00 AM.

The Monday Night Run meets at Wildwood park at 6:00. Keep an eye on the Facebook group for more info. Bring a headlamp.

CTC Track Workout:

The track workouts have ended for the season, however keep an eye on the Facebook group as there may be some people still headed to the track on Thursdays for some speed work.

Race Results:

This is a shout out to anybody who has participated in a recent race. We would love to hear from you.

The results page on the CTC website has been recently updated with some late season triathlon results.

Multi-sport event results for CTC members are posted on the Results page of the website. Contact webmaster@chicotriathlonclub.com with any errors or omissions. Please send any information on a race you have participated in. This could be as simple as your name and the name of the event, your results or a race report outlining your personal experience.

Athlete of the month:

The Athlete of the Month is taking the winter off. It will resume in the spring.

Please take the time to help us pick the next Athlete of the month. Just send an email to president@chicotriathlonclub.com listing your nomination.

Club Races for 2017 are all complete.

The 2018 Club Races will be determined by the new BOD in January.
