Hi CTCers!
We have some new and exciting updates and events coming up; please take a look!
We have nine CTC athletes competing in the Ironman 70.3 Northern California this weekend - please join me in wishing the best of luck to Drew Gilberti, Dustin Harrell, Alyssa Caldwell, Mitch Harrell, Bob Brown, JoAnne Gilchrist, Al Masterson, Michael Toland, and Lianne Vicchio!
Our Athlete of the Month is Alyssa Caldwell! She recently finished her first Ironman 70.3 in Salem, OR last month with a fantastic overall time of 5:50:48. Please join me in congratulating Alyssa on finishing her first half-iron distance race - keep up the great work Alyssa!
Join us for our last track workout of the season on August 20th!
*Please note* - The city has issued a warning for E. Coli at One Mile Pool, swimmers are advised to swim at their own risk.
We are planning a Tinman Takeover at the Mt. Shasta Tinman! CTC members who sign up are eligible for a reimbursement of up to $155 per member. You must start the race to be eligible. If you have registered, please send a confirmation of your registration to treasurer@
*Important!* - There will be a spaghetti feed on September 5th for CTC members who are participating in the Mt. Shasta Tinman, hosted by a few of the CTC Board Members. If you are interested in attending, please let me know so we can get an idea of how much spaghetti to make!
The Bidwell Bump is coming up on October 3rd and 4th! If you are interested in signing up, the discounted fee deadline is September 8th, and the online registration deadline is September 30th.
*Mark your calendars* - We have a Jersey Ride set for October 31st at 10am! We will meet at The Bear and have lunch there afterward.
We are working out the details for the End of the Year Party - keep an eye out for updates!
There are some fun volunteer opportunities coming up: we need volunteers for the Bidwell Bump on October 3rd and 4th, and CTC will be hosting a fundraiser at Burnt Barn Distillery on 8/28 for the Chico State Triathlon Club. Please check the CTC Facebook page for more updates. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Amy (amybromelow@gmail.com).
This month's sponsor is North Rim Adventure Sports. We thank them for their continued sponsorship of CTC!
Make sure you check out all the other training opportunities with the club!
The uniform store for 2026 is still open! Check the CTC website or the CTC Facebook page for more information.
May the waters be clear, the wind be at your back, and keep the rubber side down.
