CTC President’s Report February 2017
Swim, Bike, Run & Smile
Spring General Meeting:
March 4th, 2017, 1 PM at the Madison Bear Garden. The Spring Meeting is a great way to relax after the Bidwell Classic and kick off your triathlon training in 2017. An agenda will be forthcoming.
Uniforms:
The Spring Uniform Store will be opening shortly and fit samples should be arriving soon after. Keep a close eye on the Facebook and Twitter pages for further announcement and a link to the store.
Training:
Swim at One Mile:
The swim at One Mile will resume in the Spring of 2017.
In Motion Swim:
Heather Martinez at In Motion holds a Tri swim class on Tue. and Thurs. at 9:00 A.M. Contact In Motion for further details.
The River Road TTs: Will resume in 2017.
Wednesday Night training ride: this ride is hosted by Coach Mike Trowbridge.
Only three more rides left: Feb 22nd, Mar 1st and on Mar 8th there is a Possible points race (like past years) IF there are enough riders interested
Decide and Ride:
Sundays, 9am

The Friday Rides: The rides will resume in the Spring of 2017.
Runs: Tony English, is leading a LSD run on Sundays from the bathrooms at 5 mile at 8:00 AM. This is an easy pace 60 min. run.
There is also a LSD run on Saturdays meeting at the 5 mile bathrooms at 8:00 AM.
CTC Track Workout: Every Thursday meet at the Chico State track at 5:45 PM.
Race Results:
This is a shout out to anybody who has participated in a recent race. We would love to hear from you.
Manny Mejia competed in the Double Duathlon taking 1st in his age group and 3rd overall.
Multi-sport event results for CTC members are posted on the Results page of the website. Contact webmaster@chicotriathlonclub.com with any errors or omissions. Please send any information on a race you have participated in. This could be as simple as your name and the name of the event, your results or a race report outlining your personal experience.
Athlete of the month:
Please take the time to help us pick the next Athlete of the month. Just send an email to president@chicotriathlonclub.com listing your nomination.
There is no Athlete of the Month for January or February

TBF Golden State Tri, October 8th Sacramento (Sprint)
Remember: TBF is giving CTC members a 15% discount on all triathlons in the 2017 season. Contact a board member to get the discount code.

CTC will be focusing our volunteer efforts at these events for 2017:

Wildflower Century-April 29-30
Celebration of Life 5K- May 7
Almond Bowl-Nov (date not published yet)
CTC will be heavily involved with the Time Trial at the Chico Stage race on February 26th. Please contact Shawn Hughes if you would like help.
The Wildflower CTC aid station in Oroville will be led by Mary Ann Bachus. If your are interested in volunteering please contact Mary Ann.
