Kona Party: What a great turnout for the Kona Party!  Thanks so much to Susan and Wally for hosting a great end-of-season event.  Thanks also to all of you that came and celebrated the second year of the Chico Triathlon Club.  Pictures from the party (thanks to Laura V.) have been posted to the Gallery page of the website.

Board Elections:  Congratulations to the new CTC board:  Shawn Hughes, Susan Marshall, Wally Marshall, Sean Molina, Katie Nyby, Josh Rowe, Laura Van derVoort, and Greg Watkins were elected to two-year terms.  Eric Ayars will continue on the board for the second year of his two-year term.  Thanks to all who were nominated for agreeing to donate your time and talents for the success of CTC.

Uniforms:  Sean Molina is working with Jay P., Jennifer M., and Tony E. on a new uniform order this year, with hopes that the gear will arrive by mid-March.  An announcement will be made once we are ready to proceed with the order.  Please contact Sean (training@chicotriathlonclub.com) if you have any questions or input about the uniform order.

Races:  Though not a club race, several CTCers will be running  the Jack Frost 10k this Saturday, December 17th at 8:00 am at Cedar Grove in Bidwell Park.  More information is available on the race website.

Races: Several CTC members celebrated Thanksgiving morning at the Run for Food 5k.  Participants included Eric A., Greg W., Michael F., Stefan, A., David W., Matt N., Christina P., Isa W., Jessalyn A., Kristi A., Tammie W., Nikki F., Katie N, Jennifer M. and Laura V. (hope I didn’t miss anybody).   Congratulations to Christina for taking the overall win in the women’s race.  Full results can be found here.

CTC also represented at this past weekend’s California International Marathon (CIM) in Sacramento.  Lynn S., Joanne G., Shawn H., and Laura V. all raced either the marathon or on a relay team.

Board Elections and the Kona Party: We wrap up the season this weekend at the Kona Party, which is Saturday, December 10 from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the home of Susan and Wally Marshall, 45 Covell Park.  Business items, including board elections, recognitions, club races, and the next uniform cycle will begin at 3:30.  The party and Ironman Telecast will begin around 5:00, with dinner beginning around 5:30 to 6:00.  Dinner will be provided; BYOB.  Current members should have received an online Evite as well as a mailed invitation.  Please contact Susan (marshallsm@yahoo.com) to RSVP or if you have any questions about the party.   Please contact Eric Ayars (eric@ayars.org) if you wish to nominate for the board, run for the board, or have any questions about board elections.  See you there.
