My experience with this club has been enriching and positive from the start. You, in this club, are my tribe. I am highly motivated to be an involved part of continuing the supportive, inclusive and family friendly nature of our club. I have wanted to run for several years but have been focusing on school and adjusting to changes at work. I am now in the home stretch of my school program and feel that it’s finally time I can fully make this commitment. I am reliable and only make commitments when I can follow through on them. I have a good track record of attendance at events, both athletic and social.

Several years ago, I started triathlon races at the Tri for Fun. The following year I joined CTC. Despite my beginner pace, the members of this club took my training seriously. This had a huge motivating impact on me. In September 2014, I completed my first Ironman 70.3 with amazing support from the members of this club. I would love to assist in the operations of this club and be that support for others.

I am a positive and encouraging teammate. I have great respect for this sport and all of the athletes in it. I would make a great mentor for beginning triathletes, and I love to support advanced athletes. What is most impressive about this sport is the wide age range of athletes.

My background includes quite a bit of volunteer experience. For two years I was the volunteer coordinator for The Evening of Wine and Chocolate in Paradise. I have served on the committee for my son’s scout troop as the activities chair, and fundraising chair for 5 years up until he received his Eagle rank. I am one semester away from completing a second masters in social work, showing I have ability and follow through. I currently serve on the Uniform Committee. I could assist in the areas of volunteer coordination, event planning and public outreach and serving on club committees.
