CTC President’s Report January 2019
CTC-A place to have fun, learn and explore your talents.
For those of you who I have not had the chance to meet, let me introduce myself. My name is Joanne Gilchrist and I am honored to be the new CTC President. I have been participating in the sport of triathlon for over 20 years and I have also been involved with CTC since the beginning. I really enjoy the multisport lifestyle for the chance to train with friends, and to go to events together as a club. I am also really excited that CTC will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Be on the lookout for some plans in the works to commemorate this special occasion.
CTC also has some new officers and members on our Board of Directors:
Shawn Hughes: Vice President (and sponsorship)
Jenni Merrell: Treasurer
Janelle Gardner: Secretary
Members and Committee Chairs:
Greg Watkins: membership
Tony English: uniform and training
Laura Van Dervoort
Amy Bromelow: social media and volunteer with Karen English
This September CTC will be hosting the Black Butte Triathlon again and we look forward to seeing our members compete and also help us make the event a continued success. Registration is currently open for the 2019 race and the entry price increases on April 1st. If you are interested in helping put on the race, we really need you! Please contact Shawn Hughes at email@example.com if you can commit to being on the race committee.
Thank you to Fleet Feet Chico for hosting our Season Launch Party which was a fun evening. Welcome to our new members! I encourage you to check out our weekly workouts and become involved with our club activities and committees. Everyone’s participation is what makes CTC such a great club.
