Training:

Swims:

One Mile open water swims are every Friday AM.  Meet between 6:30-7:00.  An excellent opportunity to practice wetsuit swimming.

In Motion pool is open.

The River Road TTs:   

The time trial is held the first Thursday of the month @ 6:01pm.  Sign ups start at 5:30. Meet where 5th St turns into River Road Southwest of town.  The course is 10 miles long, five miles out and back. Helmet’s required! Free and open to all abilities.

Something new this year:  We are meeting for post ride refreshments at the Allies Pub.  The Club will pay for the first round of drinks and some appetizers to share for current CTC members.  More drinks or food can be purchased separately of course.

Rides:

Wednesday night hill repeats are replaced by the Fast, Fit and Fun 50 Ride Series.  Meet at Rosedale Elementary School at 5:30 every Wed. 

The Friday Rides:

Email Shawn Hughes at amigohughes@gmail.com if you are interested in receiving notices of ride date and times. EVEN IF YOU HAVE EMAILED TO BE ON THE LIST IN PREVIOUS YEARS.  Also let Shawn know if you are interested in a shortened route.

Runs: 

The Saturday Beginner LSD run is a beginner run going for up to 60 minutes. Meet at the 5-Mile Recreation Area near the bathrooms. Pay attention to the Facebook posts for updates. 

TUESDAY Night Run: It is posted on Facebook weekly.  This run currently meets at 5:30 at One Mile near the bathrooms on the North side of Sycamore Pool.

CTC Track Workout:

Currently Thursday track meetings are at 5:45 PM at the Chico State track. There is a charge for parking.  Parking passes can be obtained at the kiosk or through the Passport phone ap. When the track is unavailable, alternative locations will be posted.  Updates to the track location and any other info are made on the Facebook page.

Black Butte Tri/DU:

BBT was a blast. Stay tuned for next year’s registration info. Racers who brought a volunteer and are seeking reimbursement please contact Shawn Hughes.

Summer Party

CTC Summer party is JULY 30, 2-5PM at 3300 Inspiration Ln. Paradise.  There is a pool and will be a lifeguard for the kids (Thanks Jack English).  Appetizers and drinks will be provided. There will be a table set up for gear swap.  Bring any tri items you would like to rehome.  Please take items home with you that don’t get claimed. This will be a fun party in a special location.  Did I mention the wine cave?

This is a tri club championship.  Our club has an opportunity to compete with ither tri clubs.  Points are accrued for performance but also participation and volunteering.   Join us at this super cool event.

                        Volunteers also needed for this event.

Oct 23            Ironman CA (group volunteer opportunity) IM California (ironman.com)

                   Volunteering for this event is a great way to root for your teammates.

The uniform store is now closed but T-Shirts and other CTC apparel can be ordered anytime through Squadocker.
